Wezone Athlete April 2022 -Jessica

We present to you Jessica, athlete of the month for April. We have asked her some questions so that everyone can get to know her a little better. 🙃.

1.Where are you from and what do you do?
I am from Asturias, but I have been living in Madrid for 7 years. I work in the technology area of the Santalucía group and I am responsible for the company’s CRM. We carry all the applications related to customer management.

2. Tell us something about yourself.
At first I am a very shy person, but as soon as you give me a little confidence I become an open book. Oh, and I have a beautiful black kitty called Frey and he’s half angel, half devil.

3. How did you come to Wezone?
I moved to Quevedo two years ago and was looking for a gym, but I couldn’t find one that I liked, so, following the advice of a couple of friends who did CrossFit and told me I was going to love it, I started looking for a box for the area and found Wezone. I tried a class and when I finished I signed up. I think it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done.

4. Why do you do CrossFit?
It is a sport that has made me fall in love from the first minute. I like the constant challenge that it entails, the possibility of always surpassing yourself, even if it is little by little, and giving everything in each wod. He is demanding and competitive, but in a healthy way. Basically, it has it all!

5. What is your favorite move? And what would you like to learn?
My favorite move is the clean, hands down. And the one that I would like to learn… all the gymnasts really. It’s a part of CrossFit that I love, but I would say butterfly pull-ups and muscle-ups, which, although some others are coming out, I still have a long way to go.

6. What do you like most about coming to the box to train?
It’s one of my favorite times of the day, because it’s a little time to disconnect from everything. Whatever it was that day didn’t go well, training I forget. And then there are the people, the people are the best thing I take from CrossFit🥰.
